Fortunately, it was only water, was easily dealt with and the party continued. But Eldridge stepped back in puzzled embarrassment.

Spain economic next level from boom to bailout-LIVEJOURNAL

MADRID (AP) – Global economic cards have shown Spain into the deep financial crisis which is basically far from the growth they stained over the past decade. From the year 1999, Spain became one of the 12 countries that joined the single European currency. Spain’s membership in this powerful bloc gave it access to lower interest rate loans than it would have gotten on its own. The financial crisis has broadened because of the cheap money in which many of the families and property developers borrowed heavily.
In addition, the unemployment rate jumped up to the next level from the previous volume and counting. The jobless rate, which stood at 8.3 percent in 2007, jumped to 18 percent in 2009. It is now almost 25 percent. Many protesters were young- the jobless rate for those between 16 and 24 has reached 52 percent.
The huge numbers of unsold properties in Spain caused prices to drop. Furthermore, Spain’s facing problems become more acute due to the Eurozone debt crisis which is said likely worsened including Greece, Ireland and well as Portugal. In view of the fact that the financial sector was sitting on €445 billion ($553.49 billion) worth of property-related loans by 2009, Regional governments also turned out to drop in debts as income linked to new construction licenses and taxes dried up.
Moreover, Eldridge Financial Press released controversial hikes in the retirement age ranging 65 to 67 years old in 2010 which was publicized by the Socialist P...

Eldridge Financial riposte: are peer-to-peer lenders the future of banking?

The government together with the Bank of England experts agreed about the growing website that allows consumer to lend money to a said complete stranger. This is because they believe that the so called peer-to-peer lenders could eventually supplant the high street banks. However, £100m is needed in order for this to be realized to small businesses that hope to bypass the mainstream banks, which are disinclined to lend. The news caused a flurry of excitement among the few established players in the field, including Zopa, for personal loans, and Funding Circle, for small businesses.

Furthermore, the website that acts as a kind of broker between lenders and borrowers can provide better rates to both sides without even having the expensive branches and weight of regulation. Over the three years, it comes out that £5,000 for a loan is the cheapest offering which mounts to 7.3% on the said website. And it says lenders on the site can expect returns of 5%-5.5% after fees and bad debts, which beats most easy-access savings products out there.

Bloomberg News – South Korea warned that North Korea may test a nuclear weapon after a planned missile launch this month that has raised regional tensions and drawn U.S. warnings on the eve of parliamentary elections tomorrow in the South.

North Korean activity at the Punggye-ri atomic testing site is consistent with preparations for previous detonations in 2006 and 2009, a South Korean intelligence report obtained yesterday by Bloomberg News said. Korean Air (003490) said it will divert flights serving Indonesia, Philippines and Beijing from April 12-16 because of the launch planned for then, according to an e-mailed statement today.

China, South Korea and Japan expressed concern over North Korea’s plan to put a satellite into orbit with a long-range rocket, which the U.S. says would scuttle a food aid deal. The launch, which will mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of state founder Kim Il Sung, comes less than four months since Kim Jong Un succeeded his father as head of the totalitarian state.

“The timing is impeccable,” said Park Young Ho, senior research fellow and director at Korea Institute for National Unification. “Kim Jong Un is taking advantage of the domestic North Korean celebrations of Kim Il Sung to aggressively influence South Korean elections.”

South Korea’s benchmark Kospi Index rose as much as 0.7 percent after yesterday falling the most in a month. Defense- related shares fell after risi...
