This group of mines are located in the catchment area of work Marmajito underground mine. They are operating the mines Naranjos, La Picuda and Las Brisas. The first two exploit the seam. Marmajito in its lateral extension and the third operates the hearts of the Grain Córdoba. These mines are located in the hamlet Marmajito, south of town the municipality of Segovia.

Personal finance startup BillGuard has raised $10 million in second-round financing, and it’s using it to expand its service that helps protect accounts from fraudulent activity, the company said Tuesday.

BillGuard protects users by registering their credit and debit cards and keeping an eye out for questionable and fraudulent charges. The company uses a crowdsourced approach to identifying unauthorized charges, by not only providing its own detection but also incorporating users’ billing complaints to track and analyze payments.

BillGuard’s big second round of funding comes from a powerhouse group, including Khosla Ventures, Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors and Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund.

“At Khosla Ventures we love entrepreneurs who dare to tackle large problems with disruptive, bottom-up methods,” said Vinod Khosla, founding partner of Khosla Ventures, in a statement.

At present, BillGuard is free to use for anyone who wants to sign up. So how is it going to make money? The company is talking to large banks that could act as partners and incorporate BillGuard on a per-customer basis for a small fee. BillGuard is also exploring the idea of a merchant certification program that would let merchants have access to some its data, and follow up with customers who end up with fraudulent or questionable charges.

Last week LivingSocial made a major coup with their record selling Amazon Gift Card deal. The offer, a $20 gift card for $10 at the retail giant’s estore was a big hit with more than 1.3 million deals sold in 24 hours for a total take of over $13 million.

Last August Groupon saw similar success with their Gap deal, offering a $50 gift card for $25. The deal reportedly sold 441,000 coupons generating $11 million in sales.

Clearly LivingSocial takes the lead in this comparison, at least on the surface but from what we hear, these numbers may be deceptive and not a true indication of some final numbers that may be yet to come.

Complaints surrounding the deal and the site in general abound, from canceled orders to unauthorized charges on credit cards and rude LivingSocial representatives accusing apparently innocent customers of fraud.

SiteJabber.com, a rating and complaints forum where consumers can have their say about their experiences with businesses is currently seeing a parade of dissatisfied LivingSocial customers.

Almost every news story and blog post that allows comments has a small angry mob of consumers leaving angry comments. Apparently LivingSocial is attempting to handle the influx of complaints since they’ve set up a Q &A knowledge base specifically to address the Amazon Gift Card issue.
