Audi Q3
Audi Q3
Audi Q3 is the smallest SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) built by Audi AG of Germany. It was officialy released 2011 July when the production started at the SEAT production plant at Martorell, Spain near Barcelona. According to some members in the company staff, the production target is 80,000 yearly units.
The car will be using the Volkswagen Group A5 (PQ35) platform (originally designed for Volkswagen Golf Mk5 and also used by the other compact SUV in the Group – VW Tiguan) , thus spotting the luxury compact SUV market along with the newly released and strong competitors BMW X1 and Mercedes BLK Class. The Audi A3 has a 5-door coupe-crossover body style and, despite the appearances, it is aimed more like a lifestyle sporty car more than a family car. The company also target mostly city drivers more than off-road drivers, even the four-wheel drive quattro transmission will be available as an extra option. « previous next » |
