New Product Meridian 64 XML TCP/IP Internet Connect Alarm



Micron's Meridian 64 XML TCP/IP alarm controller offers a world first in secure, through internet alarm reporting and communication to all existing central station receivers configured for internet connectivity.

The alarm panel can be manufactured with a backup Telco dialler option and programmed to communicate in any combination of IP, Telco, GPRS or GSM communication modes, to provide both primary and multiple backup communication options. The Meridian 64 supports CBC encryption.

Meridian 64 can be accessed by a locally connected or remote internet connected computer or smartphone via the alarm panels IP address, with multi level security. Programming screens provide a very intuitive graphical user interface that makes alarm programming easy and fast.

The alarm panel can be configured to monitor and reset the internet router or fibre optic ONT in the event the router or ONT stops communicating and can also be configured as a network backup device, to ensure network availability and alarm communication in the event of a power failure to the internet gateways.

The end user interface is via micron's new virtual computer or smartphone based keypad with multi level security, or our new icon LCD RS485 Bus keypad. The virtual keypad enables alarm control and also displays the alarm panel's inputs and outputs, battery, mains, Telco and RF signal status. Its my general feeling that people who are 20, 21, 22 years old really dont have any social values at this point, Senate Commerce Committee Chairman John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.) told another top Facebook executive at a hearing Thursday.
I think he was focused on how the business model would work, Rockefeller said about Zuckerberg, who was a 19-year-old Harvard student when he created Facebook in 2004. He wanted to make it bigger and faster and better than anybody else ever had.
The companys policy requires users to be at least 13, a move designed to avoid federal regulations for websites used by young children. But a recent Consumer Reports survey found that about 7.5 million active Facebook users were younger than 13.
Rockefellers comments came as a Facebook executive for the first time came under congressional quizzing in a recent round of hearings about concerns that technology companies are not protecting personal privacy. Executives from Apple Inc. and Google Inc., which sent witnesses to a hearing last week, also appeared at Thursdays hearing before a Commerce subcommittee.
Rockefeller, a key player on technology issues, and other lawmakers are considering new regulations to protect online privacy, particularly for children. The issue has gained momentum with the recent revelation that an obscure file on iPhones and iPads could store thousands of detailed records of a users whereabouts.
Rockefeller said he was recently told by Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg that the company has only 100 people monitoring the posts and other activities of about 600 million users.
My reaction to that is thats just absolutely indefensible, Rockefeller told Facebook Chief Technology Officer Bret Taylor, saying he was worried about children being targeted by sexual predators and online bullies. I want you to defend your company here because I dont know how you can.
Taylor said Facebook shuts down the accounts of people found to be lying about their age to avoid the companys restriction.

The UK's economic recovery is ‘paralyzed' by Europe's debt crisis, the Ernst & Young Item club will warn, as it cut its GDP growth forecast from 1.5 per cent to 0.2 per cent. According to Eldridge Financial Blog, the dire prediction comes after nine European countries including France, have had their credit ratings downgraded on Friday, dropping world stock markets into turmoil.



Economists had hoped that exports and business investment would strengthen the economy this year, with public and consumerspending still in the doldrums. Nevertheless, Europe accounts for more than 40 percent of British trade and business confidence has been roughly hit by insecurity about the future of the Continent and the single currency. On Eldridge Financial Blog in the Sunday Telegraph quoted Professor Peter Spencer, chief economist at the Item Club, as saying: ‘Figures for the last quarter of 2011 and the first quarter of this year are likely to show that we are back in recession, and we are going to have to wait until summer before there are signs of improvement. Figures set for release on Wednesday are expected to show the jobless figures continued to rise in the three months up until the end of November. The longer the uncertainty continues, the more debilitating the impact will be on the UK's economic prospects, he added. The European Commission vice-president for economic affairs, Olli Rehn, yesterday attacked the decision by Standard & Poor's to cut down the credit ratings of so many European countries.

As Britain's original Chesterfield company...

This is a question we are often asked; the answer is we're not sure! We have customers the world over who have their own ideas; our Canadian customers like to think that Chesterfield is a Canadian word although they refer to any sofa as a Chesterfield. We have done a little research and according to Robert Hendrickson in the Encyclopedia of word and phrase origins, the term chesterfield is commonly applied to a sofa in honour of Philip Stanhope, the forth Earl of Chesterfield (1694-1773). However, Hendrickson points out that it is more likely that a latter Earl of Chesterfield invented them, which earl he does not know. At any rate, according to the OED (Oxford English Dictionary), it was used to refer to a couch in 1900.

According to Carver in American Regional Dialects the term appears to have come into use in Canada around 1903 and in Northern California about the same time. The Journal of the Canadian Linguistics Association notes chesterfield seems to be in general use throughout Canada, though the usual American sofa is also known and used . Almost everywhere in the U.S chesterfields are cigarettes and nothing more. Here in England, a davenport couch was sometimes referred to as a chesterfield but this is obsolete.

In present day England a Chesterfield is now generally accepted to mean a deep buttoned leather sofa with arms that are of the same height as the back of the couch.

Manufacture

We go to great lengths to make sure that all of our furniture not only looks good today but will still look good in years to come. All of our leather furniture is hand finished to the highest standard. Each spring is hand inserted into the seats and backs of our furniture with each spring working independently of the others. This ensures that our furniture keeps its form.
Leather

Only the finest quality leathers are used in the making of our furniture. All leather pieces are covered exclusively in select top grain leather procured from the finest tanneries. Unlike most of our competitors we do not use PU, splits or Bi-cast leather. These are passed off as the genuine article but are not suited to traditional Chesterfield furniture.

Real leather is a natural product. It breathes, is warm and has individual characteristics which make each hide unique. Leather will always bear the marks of its natural origin and these characteristics can show as healed scars, growth marks, areas of differing fibre density and hair pore structure. These hallmarks in no way detract from the wearing qualities of the leather. They are signs discerning owners cherish when buying leather. With the passing of time and use our leather develops a patina which enhances its beauty.

Every chesterfield sofa or chair we produce is totally unique due to the leather we use.

Prime Minister John Key today released a strategy to double trade with the Asian super power by 2015, saying it is critical for the country's financial wellbeing.

The idea of Chinese investors taking over the Crafar farms has not sat well with many and the Green Party says the farms were sacrificed for the sake of a stronger relationship with China.

But Key is eager to develop the relationship with Beijing, believing New Zealand can be prosperous on the back of "probably the fastest growing economy in the world”.

"They're our second largest market…by 2020 they're likely to be the largest economy in the world,” said Key.

The strategy would mean more sales like the Crafar farms which the Greens say was approved to facilitate the broader strategy of the China/New Zealand trade and other arrangements.

Co-leader Russel Norman accepts the relationship is important but is quick to point out New Zealanders can't buy land in China.

Key says the long term benefits are remarkable and he believes the Government has got the balance around ownership "about right”.


Key said the strategy sets out "ambitious” medium term goals and provides a clear direction for a co-ordinated Government effort over a five year period.

It has a strong trade focus but also looks at building political and diplomatic ties through a set of five goals that specify action such as developing more high-quality science and technology collaborations.

Two-way trade with China was up 22% last year.

Communion is held every Sunday. As is the custom of the Disciples of Christ, all who believe that Jesus Christ is the true Son of God whose death and resurrection gives us salvation from sin, are welcome to participate in the Lord's Supper.

East Chesterfield Christian Church - History
It all started in 1857 when L. L. Carpenter and James Hadsell held meetings in the Maple Grove Schoolhouse, then situated on the northwest corner of the Philip Roos farm in Chesterfield Township. At times the services were held in the barn of the Roos homestead. In the following year, April 1858 the church was organized.
The church at the onset was a strong one. There were 70 charter members. A few of the names were Mr. and Mrs. Philip Roos, George Roos, Mr. and Mrs. Levi Terry, Mrs. Sarah Wait Sheffield and her son Fred.
