Cavalier invallen op welzijn vermoedelijk ziek-verdiende cheques worden snel omgezet in gemiste maaltijden.

De politie zei het slachtoffer-Kevin Ssali -died in het ziekenhuis na de steken in Burnt Ash Road, Lee, op zaterdagavond.
De aanval vond plaats in hetzelfde deel van het kapitaal als de moord op 16-jarige Jimmy Mizen vier jaar geleden. In een verkiezing seizoen gedomineerd door binnenlandse economische kwesties, nam buitenlands beleid centrumstadium voor de eerste keer op de laatste avond van de democratische nationale conventie, zoals de Voorzitter en andere hoge ambtenaren de administratie successen in het buitenland in de afgelopen vier jaar geworven.

Romney personeel is nog meer terughoudend om hun kandidaat buitenlands beleid standpunten nadat de voormalige gouverneur van Massachusetts zijn gebrek aan ervaring tijdens een reis in het buitenland dit jaar toonde geweest.

Voormalige ambassadeur in India Timothy Roemer erover gesproken tijdens een evenement van nationale democratische Instituut in Charlotte op donderdag.

Portugiesische Kommunen arbeiten immer noch auf der Grundlage einer politischen und administrativen Systems für das Land der Übergang zur Demokratie in den 1970er Jahren entwickelt. Jetzt Portugals öffentliche Verwaltung muss zu ändern, um mit neuen Anforderungen Schritt zu halten und es war unvermeidlich, dass das Land früher oder später eine tiefgreifende Reform der lokale Regierungsstruktur durchführen würde.
Jedoch wurde dieser Prozess durch das Land der EU Rettungspaket Vereinbarung plötzlich beschleunigt. 2011 Grünbuch zur Reform der lokalen Verwaltung legt eine Reihe von Herausforderungen, die im Jahr 2012 erfüllt werden müssen. Der rechtliche Rahmen produziert und die Anreize für die Räte vorgeschlagen schlagen vor, daß Portugal Metropolregionen stärken will. Zwei aktuelle pilot-Studien im Auftrag der Regierung zeigen, wie dies eine widersprüchliche Mischung von Zentralisierung und Dezentralisierung schafft. Obwohl es erwartet wird, dass die Befugnisse von Räte zu Gemeinschaften weitergegeben werden werden, gibt es keine erwarteten Dezentralisierung von der Zentralregierung an die Gemeinden. Stattdessen scheint die Reform den Pfad der zentrale Überwachung und Verstärkung der Kontrolle der Regierung zu folgen.
Trotz einer Regierung grünes Papier gibt es keine formale Strategie für diese Reform. Es ist im Fall von, freistehende Gesetzesinitiativen behandelt wird. Es gibt Rückschläge für lokale Regierung, wenn dies nicht besser wird: es erlaubt keine Selbstverwaltung und lokale Autonomie; Es lässt keinen Raum für Vielfalt in der Staatsführung Modelle auf lokale Bedürfnisse; und, was entscheidend ist, es nicht zur reform der Finanzierung der Portugese lokale Regierung um einen höheren Grad an finanzielle Unabhängigkeit zu ermöglichen.

Diese politischen und wirtschaftlichen Forderungen, sowie des Landes starke lokale Identität und die politischen Kosten der erheblichen territorialen Veränderungen, erklären das Fehlen einer kohärenten Strategie für die Reform.
Lokale Autonomie und Selbstverwaltung - obwohl Voraussetzungen der Reform, die wirkliche Debatte um die lokale Regierung zumindest rhetorisch - ausgeschlossen sind. Portugiesische Räte arbeiten innerhalb einer politischen Kultur, die keine radikalen Reformen des Administrationssystems zulässt.

BP America, Inc. announced today it will donate $1 million to support disaster relief efforts in Louisiana and Mississippi following Hurricane Isaac. The donation will be made to the American Red Cross and The Salvation Army and divided equally between the two hardest-hit states. "This assistance cannot fix all that has been broken by this natural disaster, but we hope it can help some of those in need today and contribute to a sustained recovery effort in the months ahead,” said Crystal E. Ashby, Executive Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for BP America. The storm forced BP to evacuate workers from offshore platforms and drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as from onshore facilities in south Louisiana and Mississippi, where hundreds of BP employees live. Separate from this donation, BP is also providing assistance to our employees and their families in the region.

One thing you will soon learn about Barcelona is it's a city that doesn't sleep. The Spanish eat late, drink late and go out very late. At the weekend don't be surprised if night clubs are pretty much empty until at least 01:00 - 02:00 in the morning, and they go on until about 06:00. Thank goodness for the siesta!
Barcelona's nightlife is very much in keeping with the city itself, trendy, varied and sometimes spectacular. Even if you aren't really a clubber at heart it is worth going out to at least one night club just to see what's on offer, and remember there are more and more "lounge” clubs springing up if you like to take your drinks whilst reclining!
Most of the clubs do not have a set price. It varies according to night, and who is playing, many are free before a certain time (usually 01:00) plus if you walk around you are likely to be given a flyer that gets you in free all night. You can pick up flyers in shops, bars and some cafes have a rack of flyers. These usually either entitle you to a free drink, 2 for 1 drink, or free entrance. In the case of some clubs the flyer people actually stand very near the club itself but you can find them all over the city including down the Ramblas and in the Barri Gotic area.
Magic Club is one of Barcelona's most famous and well-loved indie clubs. Expect sweaty dance floors and 80s hits. Magic is the place to head if you have had your fill of Barcelona's obsession with minimal techno. This is the city's indie club of choice. Each weekend sees fun-seekers and scallywags queuing down the street for a night of 80′s pop, soft rock and disco classics.
Magic Club has a capacity of about 1000 people across two large and sweaty dance floors. The DJs are locals and these crowds are not here for celebrity DJs. You can expect to hear everything from Madonna to Morrissey to Guns n Roses on a night out in Magic.
Elephant is one of Barcelona's chicest nightclubs is the Elephant which is located in the Les Corts neighborhood. Elephant is ‘the place to see and be seen in Barcelona'. The club is housed in a two-storey baroque villa which has different ‘salas'. The lush verdant garden is adorned with colonial style décor and is a mellow chill out zone which has its own outdoor bar. The garden is decorated with large bronze elephants and lush bamboo groves and is the perfect spot to people watch as Elephant is frequented by many ‘beautiful' people who come to Elephant for its ‘scene'.

Razzmataz. Despite its cheesy name this is one of the most popular clubs in Barcelona as it offers its patrons five different styles of music in its five different sections - The Razz Bar, The Loft, The Lolita, The Rex Room and The Pop Bar. All these sections actually function as independent clubs and your entrance fee allows you to roam freely between the rooms in order to experience the different thumping sounds according to your preference.

Mirabe. This is another splendid two storey club which has an outdoor garden terrace and affords spectacular views from its location atop Mt.Tibidabo. This classy club is open every day from 7pm onwards. However it may be difficult to get a taxi back to your hotel in the wee hours of the morning after a night of partying at Mirabe.

Sutton. This New York style ‘dancetaria' has been reigning on Barcelona's nightclub scene for over six years and it is still going strong in spite of newer clubs having opened their doors. The Sutton Club has designated VIP areas for its premium guests and the club has been visited by international ‘glitterati' in the form of Hollywood actor Nicholas Cage and Brazilian soccer stars like Ronaldo and Ronaldinho.

When the Summer Olympics roll around, you can count on some intense competition in key events like gymnastics. But for 2012, the action isn't just on the mat. It seems that distributing and battling malware and phishing efforts disguised as Olympics apps and info are practically an exhibition sport this summer.
An app called "London Olympics Widget” seems harmless enough, but according to Bradley Webroot's security blog, it actually rifles through your contacts, device info, and text messages.
It's no longer available via the Google Play store, but it's still listed on an Australian site aggregating Android apps, where there are plenty of the telltale signs of skeezy code, including this odd Gmail contact address and English grammar that's not quite right.Other bits of evidence suggest the app isn't what it appears to be it's digitally signed from New Delhi, and its own screenshots reveal that, well, it's a pretty lame-looking widget.
GFI Software also claims to have found Russian servers hosting sites posing as legit app stores to push out the nasty code to unsuspecting Android devices, making the former Soviet republic competitive in both the medal and malware count this year.
Hijacking Olympics fever for fits of digital nastiness didn't originate with the 2012 Games, but using Android as the major vehicle for such efforts may have. Back in 2008, when the Games were in Beijing, more than a dozen different Trojan horses were spotted attached to e-mails with subject lines like "The Beijing 2008 Torch Relay.”
Those e-mail attacks are back for the London Games as well, and if you've been duped in the process of obsessively tracking the medal count, there's a removal tool now available.

A global economy slowing only gently would be an immense relief after a fraught end to 2011, but it is far from guaranteed. Greek debt discussions could retract next week in a tussle over the size of losses banks that must to face. While, U.S data surprisingly showed the weak retail sales and a rise of unemployment last week, a reminder that the U.S recovery is not yet out of the woods.
So, even as signs suggest only a slight easing in global growth this year to a pace around 3 percent, the pitfalls are numerous. Mainly, among them is China. Data on Tuesday is expected to present growth in China, the world's second-largest economy, cooled in the fourth quarter to 8.7 percent from a year earlier, against 9.1 percent in the prior quarter. It would be the slowest speed of growth since mid-2009 when the global economy was crawling out of a deep recession. In addition, the biggest question is how much of the slowdown can be blamed on slackening worldwide demand for China's exports and how much on weakening domestic growth. According to Bradley Associates World Current News, If China's central growth is stalling, that would put yet another drag on countries such as Germany and the United States, which are relying upon strong exports themselves to help compensate for the sluggish growth at home. U.S trade data for November was slightly stimulating on that score, with exports to China up by 2.1 percent to their highest level in almost a year. However, data from China revealed that in December demand slackened and imports from the United States which fell down to 2.7 percent, and the nation's overall trade surplus fell to a three-year low down, raising alarms around the world of a very difficult landing. A pointed downturn in Chinese demand would also spell damage to investment exporters such as Australia and Brazil, whose fortunes are progressively tied to China's. Brazil's consumers already are pulling back sharply, and the central bank next week is expected to reduce interest rates to 10.5 percent, the fourth slash since August to support the declining growth. Figures from other Asian countries offer a few more clues on how China's domestic economy is controlling up. Exports to China are a complex indicator because it is never entirely clear how much is destined for domestic ingestion and how much represents partially finished goods ultimately heading to the United States or Europe.
Nevertheless the pattern is clear: the flow of goods into China is halting, including from other Asian countries. Taiwan's export growth in December was the lowest in more than two years, and exports to China fell 2.9 percent from a year earlier, a second straight month of negative readings.

For financial adviser John Tyler, the past two to three years have brought a slow return to normalcy.
As the recession unfolded, discussions about whether the financial system will collapse are largely behind Tyler who says his clients can now afford to think much more rationally, take risk and expect returns. But the investors went through a long, trying mental process to get there, he said.
"Now they can put their toes in the water,” said Tyler, vice president and financial adviser at Houston-based Hulburd/Tyler Group, a wealth management practice under the private banking and investment group at Merrill Lynch.
"That might come in the form of some high-quality fixed income, some high-quality municipal bonds. We're now to the point where they're starting to think about high quality equities that are going to pay them in dividend.”
Tyler, a 7-year veteran of the financial advisory business, joined Merrill Lynch three years ago when he partnered with Jim Hulburd to form the Hulburd/Tyler Group in November 2009. The wealth managers average 23 clients each and manage between $25 million and $50 million per client.
The Hulburd/Tyler Group typically has two categories of clients, energy or technology executives and business owners, Tyler said. For C-suite executives, the group can deal with concentrated stock issues, help them create liquidity and perform other wealth advisory functions. For closely held businesses, the duo helps them through a process to understand whether they can sell their business or walks them through a process that teaches them what it means to run the business with longer-term investment goals in mind.
"Our experience in planning and executing things is as good as anyone in the industry,” he said.

Steven Tyler walked up the driveway to the entrance of the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles like it was a second home. Surrounded by a large entourage as he was led to the red carpet, Tyler stopped to bare a Cheshire Cat's grin as he looked at the four lovely Playboy Bunnies waiting to pose for pictures with him. The rock star and the equally iconic home that has hosted thousands of parties seemed made for each other, but this was Tyler's first visit ever to the Holmby Hills grounds.
How was that possible that in all the years of Aerosmith's success, the frontman had never been to one of the famous Halloween parties or a Midsummer Night's Dream? "I was too busy in someone's bathroom getting high," Tyler told Rolling Stone. "I was too busy on tour, I was too busy writing songs. We were just busy."
While he had never been to the house that Hef built, Tyler has crossed paths with the famed Lothario, Hugh Hefner. And Tyler is a big fan. "I love people that are committed to their crimes of passion and he is the gentleman of all time," Tyler told us. "He's been on every man's mind around the world at least a hundred times in their lifetime for what he did. So he signifies the joys of womanhood and not the degradation . . . and even women love Playboy."
What finally brought Tyler to the mansion after more than 40 years in the spotlight was Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp, a program that allows people to live out their rock & roll dreams and spend four intense days training with counselors to play with Tyler or other superstars, such as Kiss' Gene Simmons, who will be the headliner at an upcoming event in Las Vegas from October 10th through 14th.
Tyler got involved with the camp last year through Mark Hudson, a counselor in the program who co-wrote Aerosmith's "Livin' On The Edge." "We spoke last year, I was doing a book, and they asked me here and I said I would, and I spoke in front of the whole camp. It's called just being a mentor, if not to incite a riot," he says.
Tyler had a challenge for this week's campers, who joined him on stage at the mansion last night. "I just dared them all to learn an Aerosmith song to see how good they can do it," he says. "If they do it good, which I'm sure they will, I'm gonna pick the best group of them all, we're gonna pick straws and the best one out of that gets to ride around in my car and hear the new Aerosmith album."
When Tyler says, while speaking of the upcoming record, "I'm on fire, as you can tell," he is not exaggerating. Despite being pulled away by several handlers, he doesn't want to stop talking about the new music, which is now in the mixing stages. "It's one of the best Aerosmith albums ever," he says. "I'm one of the worst judges of my own music because I'm very harsh, highly critical. [But] we waited until we had at least four really good songs that were representative and we got 19."

'I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I'm back'
Steven Tyler has decided to leave his role as a judge on American Idol after just two years, the Aerosmith frontman said today.
"After some long, hard thoughts, I've decided it's time for me to let go of my mistress American Idol before she boils my rabbit," Tyler said in a statement. "I strayed from my first love, Aerosmith, and I'm back - but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I got two fists in the air and I'm kicking the door open with my band. The next few years are going to be dedicated to kicking some serious ass - the ultimate in auditory takeover.
"Idol was over the top fun, and I loved every minute of it," Tyler added. "Now it's time to bring rock back."
Tyler's decision comes in the middle of Aerosmith's current Global Warming Tour with openers Cheap Trick. The North American trek finds them gearing up for the planned November 6th release of Music From Another Dimension, the band's first studio album since 2004. The group debuted the record's first single, "Legendary Child," during Idol's season finale this year.
"He's been a terrific judge, a true friend and great mentor to everyone involved with the show, and we know he'll continue to be a huge inspiration to Idol hopefuls for years to come," said Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment at Fox. "We are very sad that Steven has chosen to focus more on his music, but we always knew when we hired a rock & roll legend, he would go back to the music."
Added Simon Fuller, the show's co-creator and executive producer, "Steven Tyler is a real 'Idol,' a rock legend. If you had told me 10 years ago he would be a judge on American Idol, I would have thought it impossible. The fact that this became a reality and we had the pleasure of him gracing our stage for two seasons makes me very proud. I completely understand his desire to get back to his life as the singer in America's greatest-ever rock band."
Tyler's announcement isn't the only thing to signal a shakeup at the Idol judges' table: Recently Jennifer Lopez told Today, "I am thinking that maybe it's time for me to go and do other things that I really love to do, like films. Right now I'm on tour and performing."

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP -- East Grand Rapids recreation director Fred Bunn was the overall winner of the first Lake Macatawa Duathlon.
Saturday's event was intended as the 25th anniversary of the Lake Macatawa Triathlon, but cancellation of the swim portion because of bacteria in the water turned it to a running and biking competition.
That was just fine for Bunn.
"I don't swim, and the change was good for me because running is my major background,” said Bunn, 48, who ran in the Olympic trials for the U.S. marathon team in 2000 and signed up for the Lake Macatawa event just last week.
Bunn won with a time of 1 hour, 31 minutes, 27 seconds, about three minutes ahead of second-place finisher Greg Mueller of South Bend.
The duathlon consisted of a 2-mile run, 22.8 miles of biking and ended with a 4.8-mile run. This year's race attracted 240 athletes, about 10 more than last year's field.
Bunn said he paced himself against last year's overall winner, Zeeland fifth-grade teacher Matt Smith.
"I just tried to keep him in sight during the first run, get some time ahead on the bike and then hold the lead if I was ahead,” Bunn said.
Lisa Mueller, wife of Greg Mueller, was the top finisher among women with a time of 1:41:57.
"My gameplan was to go hard and suffer,” said Mueller, 28, a member of the South Bend-based triathlon club Innovative Endurance, which is coached by her husband.
She said her training schedule includes running, biking and swimming about 18 to 20 hours a week.
Making up almost a quarter of the field was a triathlon training class from Grand Haven High School that had 57 entered in the race.
"They get an 'A' if they finish the race and fail if they don't, unless they get injured or sick on the course,” said Derek Warner, a Grand Haven High School physical education teacher who proposed and taught the first-time course.

A total of 56 of 57 students finished the race, with one withdrawing in the final leg because of illness.
"This was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do physically and mentally,” 10th-grader Maddie Cleghorn said.
"Mr. Warren got us well prepared for the race. We'd do one day of biking, one day of running and one day of swimming, plus weight training,” said Cleghorn, who competed in her first triathlon/duathlon.
Race director Darrin Duistermars said having to cancel the swim portion had event organizers scrambling to implement a new plan, but he noted, "it turned out to be an awesome race.”

Micron Technology Inc. (MU), the largest U.S. maker of computer memory, reported a fourth consecutive quarterly loss after prices fell for chips used to store data in phones and tablets, crimping sales.
The net loss was $320 million, or 32 cents a share, for the third quarter ended May 31, compared with profit of $75 million, or 7 cents, a year earlier, the Boise, Idaho-based company said yesterday in a statement. Sales rose 1.5 percent to $2.17 billion. Analysts projected a loss of 20 cents on revenue of $1.99 billion, the average of estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
Makers of smartphones and other mobile devices haven't equipped their products with as much memory as had been predicted, nor are computer manufacturers turning to chips for main storage at rates that were forecast, according to a report this week by Doug Freedman, an analyst at RBC Capital Markets in San Francisco. The result has been a glut in the product category called Nand flash memory.
Prices may begin to increase this month or in July as the result of demand for chips for new models of devices, Freedman wrote. He rates Micron outperform, the equivalent of a buy recommendation.
"We see reason to be optimistic,” Micron President Mark Adams said in a telephone interview. "Pricing isn't in a great place, but it's an improved and more stable environment.”
Micron shares fell 7.8 percent to $5.65 at the close in New York. The stock has lost 10 percent this year.
Japan's Elpida
The company said in May it was in talks to buy a Japanese competitor, Elpida Memory Inc., to gain more control of industry output because periods of oversupply make it difficult for Micron to deliver profits. Elpida, the last Japanese maker of computer-memory chips, sought bankruptcy protection in February after losses left it unable to pay debts.
"We don't feel that it's a deal where we are up against the wall and have to do it at all costs,” said Micron's Adams. "Micron has always been very sensitive to balance-sheet preservation and we'll continue with that goal in mind.”
Acquiring Elpida would double Micron's share of the global market for dynamic random-access memory, the most widely used memory chips in personal computers, to about 24 percent, helping it compete against industry leader Samsung Electronics Co. An acquisition of Elpida, which has three factories, would give Micron access to customers it currently doesn't supply, executives of the U.S. company said yesterday.
Micron Chief Executive Officer Mark Durcan told analysts yesterday that the company will only go ahead with a purchase if it doesn't involve diluting stock or taking on too much interest-bearing debt.

HOW TO MANAGE STRESS?
Deal with stress.
1. Avoid predictable stressful situations. If a certain sport or game makes you tense (whether it's tennis or bridge), decline the invitation to play. After all, the point of these activities is to have a good time. If you know you won't, there's no reason to play.
2. Competing with others, whether in accomplishments, appearance, or possessions, is an avoidable source of stress. You might know people who do all they can to provoke envy in others. While it may seem easy to say you should be satisfied with what you have, it's the truth. The stress from this kind of jealousy is self-inflicted.
3. Eliminate as many sources of stress as you can. For example, if crowds bother you, go to the supermarket when you know the lines won't be too long. Try renting videotapes rather than going to crowded movie theaters. Clear up the clutter in your life by giving away or throwing away the things that get in your way. A garage sale is one effective way to do this.
4. If you can't remove the stress, remove yourself. Slip away once in a while for some private time. These quiet moments may give you a fresh perspective on your problems. Avoid stressful people. For example, if you don't get along with your father-in-law but you don't want to make an issue of it, invite other in-laws at the same time you invite him. Having other people around will absorb some of the pressure you would normally feel.
5. If you suffer from insomnia, headaches, recurring colds, or stomach upsets, consider whether stress is part of the problem. Being chronically angry, frustrated, or apprehensive can deplete your physical resources.
6. Labor saving devices, such as cellular phones or computer hookups, often encourage us to cram too many activities into each day. Before you buy new equipment, be sure that it will really improve your life. Be aware that taking care of equipment and getting it repaired can be stressful.
7. Remember, sometimes it's okay to do nothing.
8. Try doing only one thing at a time. For example, when you're riding your exercise bike, you don't have to listen to the radio or watch television.

9. If you are always running late, sit down with a pencil and paper and see how you are actually allotting your time. Say it takes you 40 minutes to get to work. Are you leaving your house on time? You may be able to solve your problem (and de-stress your life a bit) just by being realistic.

10. If you can't find the time for all the activities that are important to you, maybe you are trying to do too much. Again, make a list of what you do during the day and how much each activity takes. Then cut back.
