Urban Angehrn, the current Head of Investment Strategy Implementation, was named to the position of Head of Alternative Investments, succeeding Bernard Joei, effective March 1, 2012. The company respectfully announces that on March 5, 2012, a foreign subsidiary (hereinafter – the Subsidiary) under the full ownership of the company signed agreements with a third party that is unrelated to the company or to the controlling shareholders therein (hereinafter – the Purchaser). The agreements refer to the sale of the entire share capital of two companies held together with a partner, which own 19 properties in Switzerland, including therein 568 apartments and a commercial center with an area of 8,120 square meters (hereinafter – the Asset Companies).

In return for the shares and loans from shareholder of the Asset Companies, the Purchaser undertakes to pay the Subsidiary the amount of 36.7 million Swiss francs (NIS 153.1 million) (hereinafter – the Proceeds).

A deposit on account of the Proceeds in the amount of 10 million Swiss francs (NIS 41.7 million) shall be paid within two business days of the date of signature of the agreement and shall not be refundable to the Purchaser. The balance of the Proceeds in the amount of 26.7 million Swiss francs (NIS 111.4 million) shall be paid to the Subsidiary within 90 days ...

Pakistan’s army said it arrested a senior al-Qaeda leader, Younis al-Mauritani, responsible for the militant group’s international operations, with help from U.S. intelligence agencies.

The Inter-Services Intelligence Directorate captured Al- Mauritani and two other al-Qaeda operatives, Abdul Ghaffar al- Shami and Messara al-Shami in the southwestern city of Quetta, the military’s press office said in an e-mailed statement. The arrest, which follows months of U.S.-Pakistani tension over counter-terrorism cooperation, is part of “a strong, historic intelligence relationship” between the agency known as ISI and U.S. intelligence agencies, the statement said.

AUSTRALIANS are among the most holiday-deprived nations in the world and take fewer holidays every year, research has found.

A third of all Australian workers also said they had cancelled or postponed holiday plans because of work and more than a quarter said their employers were “unsupportive” of annual leave.

The survey by online travel company Expedia revealed Australians were taking 15 days annual leave a year -1.5 days less than they did last year.

It blamed uncertain economic times and tightened purse strings for the trend.

Almost a third of Australian workers cited finances as the main reason for not taking the holidays they are entitled to, compared with the global average of 22 per cent.
