Tom and Lynette Scavo are in the process of getting a divorce in Desperate Housewives. Tom seems to be moving on. He has a new place and a new girlfriend. Lynette, on the other hand, is having a little more trouble with it than him. After talking to a woman that saved her marriage by getting a makeover, Lynette decides to do the same. Then, she receives flowers on her and Tom's anniversary and believes he may still be interested in her. Therefore, she decides to secretly visit him, but when he gets home he has his new girlfriend with him. Lynette learns he had pre-ordered flowers for her and had forgotten to cancel them. Does Penny still love Leonard in The Big Bang Theory?

In Episode 7 of Season 5 of The Big Bang Theory, Leonard ended his long distance relationship to Priya after they find out they both cheated on each other. During Leonard's entire relationship with Priya, Penny is jealous. Initially, she couldn't believe Leonard had already moved on, and she never does the same choosing to remain single. She seems to always be hanging around Leonard's friends and their girlfriends. In my opinion, it is clear she not only did not move on, but that she does not want to move on.

In Episode 9 of Season 5, Leonard and Penny hang out alone for the first time since breaking up. Penny asks Leonard to join her to a movie, but initially he resists. However, he agrees after Penny tells him "it's not a date Leonard. It's just a man and a woman hanging out and not having sex at the end of the night."

For the first time ever, Leonard actually takes control of an evening with Penny. He makes her go to the movie he wants to see and he makes her pay her own way. He used to go to movies she wanted to see so she would have sex with him at the end of the night, but since sex is "off-the-table" he doesn't see any reason to not choose the film he wants to see.

After the movie, they hang out in a cafe/bar setting. While there, Leonard makes a point of letting Penny know they aren't on a date. Therefore, Penny starts talking to a random guy and discusses the science based movie she just watched with Leonard with her new friend...

Sheldon Cooper overcomes his fear of birds on The Big Bang Theory. Really, a fear of Birds?

posted by bluemoon22 4 days ago under the big bang theory, sheldon cooper, entertainment, television, fear of birds
In the 9th Episode of The Big Bang Theory Season 5, Sheldon Cooper is seen scared to death from a bird hanging out outside of his window. When Penny and Leonard ask Sheldon why he is freaking out, he tells them he has Ornithophobia - a fear of birds.

Throughout the episode, the bird torments him from the window. He calls animal control to come remove the bird that he describes as a "bluejay," and they laugh at him. The bird, however, appears to be of a more exotic species of bird and not a "bluejay" as Sheldon claims. His next attempt of getting rid of the bird included drawing the head of a cat with whiskers and all on a notebook, holding it up to his face, and then making cat noises. Obviously, this was not successful.

His next idea is to create a machine that Howard and Raj call a "Death Ray," which Sheldon vehemently rejects as a name for his devise. Sheldon's intent for the machine is for it to generate sound waves that scare off the bird. When he uses it, however, all it ends up doing is shattering the window's glass and the bird doesn't budge.

His fourth attempt of getting rid of the bird is to put on a mask and use a broom to "shoo" the bird away. When he opens the window to scare the bird, it ends up flying into the apartment. This prompts Sheldon to call Amy Fowler and Bernadette to come deal with the bird since they are biologists. While Bernadette is carrying the bird, that she realizes is someone's pet, Sheldon actually as...

Trent Richardson vs Michael Dyer: Who will have a better Iron Bowl?

posted by bluemoon22 4 days ago under trent richardson, michael dyer, auburn tigers, alabama crimson tide, heisman trophy
The 2011 Iron Bowl will feature a battle of the Southeastern Conference's two leading rushers, Trent Richardson for the Alabama Crimson Tide and Michael (Mike) Dyer for the Auburn Tigers. Richardson is a junior and has rushed for 1380 yards and 20 touchdowns. Dyer, on the other hand, is a sophomore and has rushed for 1194 and 10 touchdowns.

Richardson and Dyer were both five star recruits coming out of high school, and neither has disappointed in their NCAA career. This will be the first time the two face each other as the starters for their teams. The outcome of this game will depend on which team is successful in their rushing attack. Bama is playing for a spot in the BCS National Championship game, and Dyer would love nothing more than to help his Tigers prevent their most hated rival from reaching that game.

Auburn can also influence Richardson's chances for the Heisman Trophy Award. The race is currently wide open, and the next couple of weeks will decide who will have the chance to be the next to carry the award. If the Tigers can shut Trent down, then he will most likely not win the Heisman Trophy.

I think Auburn will do all it can to stop Richardson. In the past two years, the Tigers were capable of shutting down Alabama's former Heisman Trophy winner, Mark Ingram. I think the Tigers will have success in stopping Richardson, and because of that I think Dyer will have the better game. But what do you think?

Is Matt Barkley a Heisman Trophy Candidate?

The USC Trojans quarterback, Matt Barkley, recently led his team over the Oregon Ducks in Eugene, OR. The win knocked the Ducks out of the BCS National Championship hunt. It also eliminated LaMichael James' chances of winning the Heisman Trophy Award.

Barkley, however, has not regularly been in the Heisman Trophy discussion. The following are his season statistics:

Matt Barkley Season Statistics

Passing Statistics: 273 pass completions; 404 passing attempts; 3105 yards; 67.6 completion percentage; 7.69 yards per attempt, 82 yard long; 33 touchdowns; 7 interceptions

Barkley has his Trojans 9-2 with only one game left in the season. I think he should be a candidate. In my opinion, he is the best pocket-passer in the nation...yes, I believe he is better than Andrew Luck. However, what do you think?

Auburn vs Alabama: Can the Tigers upset the Tide in the Iron Bowl?

posted by bluemoon22 4 days ago under auburn tigers, alabama crimson tide, iron bowl, bama, au
In the final weekend of the regular 2011 college football season, the #2 Alabama Crimson Tide will travel to Auburn, AL to play the #24 Auburn Tigers in the 76th Iron Bowl. Currently, Alabama leads the series 40-34-1.

In the last two years, Alabama and Auburn have both had Heisman Trophy winners and both won the BCS National Championship. Mark Ingram won the Heisman in 2009, leading the Tide in winning the BCS National Championship Game. Cam Newton won Auburn's third Heisman Trophy in 2010, as he led the Tigers to a BCS National Championship.

This year, Alabama is in position to play for another BCS Championship, and the Tide's running back, Trent Richardson, is up for the Heisman Trophy. Richardson will need to have a huge game in the Iron Bowl in order to help lock the Heisman Trophy Award. Auburn would love nothing more than to shut him down.

Alabama is the better team, but the game is being played in Jordan Hare Stadium. Personally, I think Auburn can pull the upset because Alabama's offense is terrible. If the Tigers are able to block and create lanes for running back Michael Dyer and create turnovers, then they have a shot. What do you think?

Arkansas vs LSU: Can the Hawgs win in Baton Rouge?

The #3 Arkansas Razorbacks will travel to Baton Rouge, LA to face off against the #1 LSU Tigers. The entire season is on the line in this game with this being the last weekend before conference championships. A win by LSU, and the Tigers clinch the SEC West.

If the Hawgs win, then we have to wait for the final BCS rankings to decide who goes to the SEC Championship Game. Because there will be three one loss SEC West teams if Arkansas loses, the team that goes to the championship is the team that won the heads up battle between the two rated the highest in the BCS rankings.

Robert Griffin III should lead the Heisman Trophy race!

posted by bluemoon22 5 days ago under heisman trophy, heisman, robert griffin iii, rg3, sports
Robert Griffin III (RG3) is hands down the best college football player in the nation. The fact the Baylor Bears are not a good football team should not keep him from winning the award. Its not the Bears offense that is terrible, it is the Bears defense. The offense led by Griffin has played good enough in every game this year.

Even though his defense is terrible, Griffin has been able to lead the Bears to a 7-3 record with two more games left to play. Their three losses came against #3 Oklahoma State Cowboys, #14 Kansas State Wildcats, and #21 Texas A&M. His big wins of the season came against #14 TCU Horned Frogs and #5 Oklahoma Sooners.

The following are RG3's statistics

Robert Griffin III Total Season Statistics

Passing Statistics: 224 pass completions; 302 passing attempts; 3093 yards; 74.2 completion percentage; 10.24 yards per attempt, 77 yard long; 29 touchdowns; 5 interceptions
Rushing Statistics: 117 rushing attempts; 478 yards; 4.1 yard average per carry; 49 yard long; 5 touchdowns
